Step one, Installation

Follow the wizard to install Data recovery for Mac on your computer and launch it. Choose the "Lost file recovery" mode in the pop up dialogue.

Note: This model recover deleted files from a partition or removable media.

Step two, Select a partition or drive where the lost file located

Your computer's partitions or media drives connected to computer will be listed in the panel. Choose the one where your lost file located. Then click "Scan" to scan the lost files.

Note: During the scanning process, you can pause or stop the scan.

Step three, Recovery

The scan results will be listed with original name and path so that you can find out the target file easily. Select the file you want to get back and click "Recover" button to set name and destination for the recovery file.

Note: When you set the same path as the source partition for the recovered files, the program will remind you to select another partition or connect an external storage media.

Tips on lost file recovery:

After scanning, you will see the "Save Scan Info" button in the top of the interface. If you click "Back" or "Home" button to leave the scanning result interface, the prompt will also ask you whether you'd like to save the current scanning results for recovery later.

This option helps you to save the previous scan results for continuous data recovery at any time without re-scanning again. In the launching interface, there is a Resume Recovery mode. Click it, you will be asked to import the .res files which are the scanning results you saved previously.
