Also, to clarify traveling in the car, for the actual car ride, I recommend your pet be inside a plastic dog crate. It isn't safe for your pet to roam freely inside the car, and never a good idea to put him in the bed of a pickup truck. Once you get to your destination, then the folding soft crate is a great option, especially if you have to pack things in over a short or long distance.

For a home inside your home, the folding wire dog crate is my favorite option. It provides plenty of ventilation and a secure home for your pet.
