If you're looking to buy a new car there are plenty of guides out there telling you which car is the best in each category from small city cars to luxurious executive beasts and if you have a look at a few of them you'll probably discover that they don't actually agree on which is the best car in each category. But what you will probably find out is that the same makes and models tend to feature in the top three or top five of all these reviews so if you are looking for a new vehicle you won't go far wrong if you take the advice of these car guides.
If you look at the category of city cars there are a handful of cars which are rated highly. One of these is the Smart Fortwo but as it's an electrical car it's probably not for everybody. Among the more conventional cars the Kia Picanto is both economical and affordable and now also looks quite stylish. It might not be the most luxurious of cars but it's affordable with prices starting just shy of 8,000. Another good and affordable option is the well-known Ford Ka with prices starting at around 8,500. It's better quality than the Kia and is described as a fun car to drive with excellent fuel economy. Moving up in size to the larger family vehicles there are a couple of vehicles there which have received several industry awards. One of these is the Seat Alhambra which is a vehicle very similar to the Volkswagen Sharan but without the price tag. It's spacious inside with a lot of alternative space solutions but for many this car might be slightly too big. Another well appointed car in this class is the Ford Mondeo which has been a much loved car for many years and also very popular among travelling business men. The estate version makes an excellent family car. A pricier option in this class is the BMW 5 series. It's a great ride as well as being classy but prices start at around 333,000 compared to the Seat which starts at 23,000 so it's not for everybody's pockets.
In all the various vehicles classes from small city cars to 4x4's, small family cars and MPVs there will be affordable options and luxurious options which are rated by different car guides. To ensure you buy a well appointed car which suits you, these guides might be worth reading through.
