Problems associated with Bluetooth technology may include the following: gadgets require the same profile, devices need to be paired, failure to find device, unable to connect, and weak connection.

The creation of Bluetooth technology has transformed the way we utilize some of our electronic devices. The Bluetooth function allows for two or more gadgets to connect with each other without any attached wires, including mobile phones, printers, computers, headphones, and numerous other gadgets. As convenient and as wonderful as this may seem, Bluetooth technology also has some problems.

Require the same profile

For the Bluetooth feature on 2 separate gadgets to connect these two objects together, the profile for both units must be the same. For example, an earphone and a cellular phone can only work together if they both have a "hands free" profile. Although a mismatched profile isn't very common, it can, nonetheless, create a miscommunication problem between devices enabled with Bluetooth technology.

Has to be paired

The issues related to pairing are very identical to the profiling problems just discussed. Two different devices must be partnered, or paired, with one another for one gadget to communicate with the other via Bluetooth. For example, a printer and a mobile phone would have to exchange password and safety information with each other to be able to work together. There are, however, complications that are associated with pairing.

Inability to find device

The inability to find a gadget is actually a typical htc problem in technology and not only in Bluetooth. If your Bluetooth-enabled cell phone informs you that it's unable to locate the other Bluetooth enabled device, such as a printer, despite obviously seeing the device, do not fret. The process Bluetooth technology functions can be described like an electronic bat; wireless signals are sent out for other Bluetooth gadgets to pick-up. While the printer may be around, it may not be on, or it might not be giving out its signal. Simply turn the device on and put it on a "discoverable setting" so the device can give out its signal and wait to be found.

Inability to connect

As previously narrated, Bluetooth-enabled gadgets need to exchange their security details to build a link between the two gadgets. Most ofthe time, these security informations are a password and a PIN number. If you type in the incorrect security password and PIN number, no connection would be created between the two devices. But, if you're positive that you keyed in the right security details, you can try turning off both gadgets and then turning them back on again. This will usually get the 2 gadgets to begin working with each other.

Poor connection

Another common concern among users of Bluetooth-enabled devices is that their gadgets won't "communicate" with each other despite having paired just fine. Oftentimes, this is because the two gadgets don't have the same profile, as was stated above. The simplest and quickest way for you to determine this is to get the manuals of the two devices and check out the properties that each one has and does not have. There are instances that all that is required is a certain command word; however, it still depends on the creator of the devices and the gadget itself.

Even if you actually know the correct way to use your gadgets, the manuals for most devices also usually include a troubleshooting page that you can refer to for common problems you may experience.
